English for Music Students

This website is developed for the beginner students of music whose first language is not English, and provides them with an online course on specialised English for music, so that they can improve their English in their own field of study. The course is based on the book English for Music Students: Basics.

The content of the course and the level of language covered in the texts, concerning musical knowledge, starts from the very beginning level with the basic concepts and terms used in music language. As for the level of English used, however, it assumes a minimum of intermediate knowledge of English on the part of learners, so that they can fully understand the concepts and technical language of music as they progress through the units towards the more difficult language.

Finally, note that the focus in this course is more on the language rather than music.
